Ray Lopez was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He attended New World School of the Arts where he studied the Visual Arts. After graduating 6th in his high school class, he received his Bachelor's of Fine Arts with Honors in Illustration from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. During his time at Art Center.

Upon his return to Miami, Mr. Lopez was invited to participate in a collaborative project with nationally recognized Peace Mural Artist, Huong, on a series of murals of President Obama’s Inauguration. He has curated several art shows and exhibited original works of art in the many art districts in and around Miami, including the Wynwood Arts and Miami Design Districts.

His artwork centers on themes of capturing the visual poetry of everyday things, family, natural places, and bringing new light to well established archetypes of art, society, and art history.
